The Blue Lagoon, Part 2
When I first laid eyes on the Blue Lagoon, there was something so serene and captivating to me about it. The water was packed with bathers, yet everyone seemed to have found their own slice of solace. I couldn’t wait to join them.
Blue Lagoon Kiss
I was drawn to this couple that seemed to be lost in their own world. They were moments before a kiss, surrounded by dozens of other bathers, oblivious and seemingly in love.
I needed a way to convey, not just the solo bathers, but also the harmonious vibe I experienced when noticing the groups and the scene as a whole. For the first time in my work, I used a post-processing tool to clone these individuals. I find the repetition of the few bathers throughout the image to be representative of the fact that we all share a common interest, wanderers drawn to the same inspiring place.
